# How to reset banner layout and style without losing texts (New Version)

### Overview

The Banner page **Reset** control restores layout, style, and advanced defaults. It does **not** wipe your texts or logos.

Use Reset when experiments with position, colors, or Advanced options left the banner in a bad state, but you still want to keep:

* Banner status (enabled, disabled, or admins only)
* Content tab texts
* Logo uploads

Reset is not the same as **Settings > Reset user consents**, which asks every visitor for consent again.

### Reset layout and style

1. Open **Shopify Admin > Apps > Pandectes GDPR Compliance**.
2. Go to **Settings > Banner**.
3. Click **Reset**.
4. Confirm the in-app message.
5. Review Layout, Style, and Advanced, then save if the bar asks you to.

### After a reset

* Re-add **Custom styling** CSS if it was part of Advanced/Style defaults you cleared.
