How to add an Impressum in your Shopify store

Learn how to add the Impressum page on your Shopify store and link it correctly on your cookie banner.

Step 1: Create an Impressum Page in Shopify

1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.
2. Go to Online Store > Pages.
3. Click Add Page.
4. Set the Title as “Impressum” or "Imprint."
5. Enter your business details as per the requirements. You can get ideas on how to prepare it here.
6. Click Save.

Step 2: Link the Impressum in the Pandectes GDPR Compliance App

To ensure the Impressum is visible in your cookie consent banner, follow these steps:

1. Open the Pandectes GDPR Compliance App.
2. Navigate to Settings > Banner > Behavior Tab.
3. Enable the “Show imprint page link” option.
4. Enter the URL of your Impressum page (e.g., https://yourstore.com/pages/impressum).
5. Click Save Changes.

Step 3: Verify the Link in the Cookie Banner

After linking the Impressum page, check that it appears in the cookie banner footer for visitors.
