Introduction

Based on the recent updates from Shopify regarding the Customer Privacy you have to choose the regions in which you want the marketing and analytics data to be collected by Shopify after user consent.

Enable Shopify Customer Privacy Settings

Navigate to Settings of your Shopify Admin Dashboard.

Select Customer Privacy from the left sidebar and click Cookie Banner. Ensure Pandectes GDPR Compliance is present in Installed privacy apps.

On the Cookie Banner page, click on More actions and select Remove cookie banner.

After that you can choose the regions in which you want the marketing and analytics data to be collected by Shopify after user consent and click Confirm. By default the only region that is selected here is the initial region you have set on your store. From this option though you can change the selected regions and add or remove entries.

How to enable Google Consent Mode

Navigate to Settings > Integrations

Switch on the integration and some options will open.

Basic Mode

If you want to enable the Basic Mode of Google Consent Mode you will need to activate the Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads options inside the Autoblocker.

Advanced Mode

If you want to enable the Advanced Mode of Google Consent Mode then you just skip the auto blocker options.
