How to Re-open the Cookie Banner with a Menu Link (New Version)

Overview

You can let visitors reopen the cookie banner at any time by adding a link to your store navigation menu. This is useful for a Cookie settings or Privacy settings link in the footer or header menu.

When a visitor clicks the link, the consent dialog opens so they can review or change their cookie preferences.

Step 1: Enable Custom open/reopen

Go to Cookie banner > Advanced in the Pandectes app and select Custom open/reopen.

Once enabled, the banner opens from any link that points to:

#reopenBanner

Step 2: Open your Shopify menu

1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.
2. Go to Content > Menus.
3. Select the menu where you want the link, for example Footer.

4. Click Add menu item.

Step 3: Configure the menu link

Fill in the new menu item:

• Label: Cookie settings (or any label you prefer)
• Link: #reopenBanner

Link: #reopenBanner

Confirm the item, then click Save to save the menu.

Step 4: Test the link

Visit your store and click the new menu link. The cookie banner or preferences dialog opens, and visitors can:

• Review their consent status
• Change their cookie preferences
• Accept or decline cookies
