Global Privacy Control - GPC

Pandectes GDPR Compliance is capable of respecting consent preferences that are communicated using a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

What is Global Privacy Control?

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a specification designed to allow Internet users to automatically notify businesses of their privacy preferences and is configured using a setting or extension in the user’s browser or device.

The GPC specification defines the format of the signal which can be interpreted by consent platforms and websites to automatically set a user's consent preferences and opt them out of data sales and sharing.

Configuring GPC support

Global Privacy Control is always enabled in Pandectes GDPR Compliance within the Settings > Integrations, as shown in the following figure:

In the integrations page, there exists a line for globalPrivacyControl.

If you use the Do not sell my data page then based on GPC preference the associated choice is being send to this page as well.
