How to disable Shopify's Customer Privacy banner
This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to quickly disable the default Shopify Customer Privacy Banner from your Shopify store settings.
This setup will help ensure GDPR compliance and enable privacy compliance worldwide across other regions. If you created a Shopify store recently you will have noticed that the Shopify default banner is already active for your store.
In your Shopify admin panel, navigate to Settings > Customer Privacy > Cookie Banner.
Click the More Actions button located at the top left corner, then select Remove Cookie Banner.
Click the Remove button to confirm, and ensure that your settings are saved.
After completing these steps, make sure the 31 recommended countries are selected for GDPR compliance. If you sell to other regions and want to block Shopify cookies beyond the recommended GDPR countries, you can also add more regions based on your target locations.
