How to open the Web Accessibility Dialog from a menu link using a custom trigger
Overview
You can allow visitors to open web accessibility at any time by adding a link to your store’s navigation menu.
This is useful if you want to provide visitors with a “Web Accessibility” link in your footer or header menu.
When clicked, this link will open the web accessibility dialog, allowing visitors to enable functions/profiles.
Step 1 – Enable the Custom Open/Reopen Option
First, enable the option inside the Pandectes app.
Navigate to Settings > Web Accessibility > Style enable the checkbox: Custom open

Once enabled, the banner can be opened using a link with the following anchor:

Step 2 – Add the Link to Your Shopify Menu
Now you can add a link to your store menu.
- Log in to your Shopify Admin.
- Go to Online Store > Content > Menus.
- Select the menu where you want to add the link (for example Footer).
- Click Add menu item.


Step 3 – Configure the Menu Link
When creating the menu item:
- Name: Cookie settings (or any label you prefer)
- Link:
#reopenWidget
Example:
Name: Web Accessibility
Link: #reopenWidget
Click Add, then Save the menu.

Step 4 – Test the Link
Visit your store and click the new menu link.
When clicked, the web accessibility dialog will open, allowing visitors to:
- Enable functions
- Enable accessibility profiles
- Change languages

Summary
To allow visitors to open the web accessibility from a menu link:
- Enable Custom open in Settings > Web Accessibility > Style.
- Add a navigation link in Shopify with the URL
#reopenWidget. - Visitors can use this link to open the web accessibility and manage the functions at any time.
