Discover the languages supported by our Shopify app with this guide. Expand your store’s reach by catering to a diverse global audience.
Banner, Preference Dialog, Data Subject Request widget, and Cookie Declaration widget support text in the following languages.
Additionally, the application provides default text in the languages as indicated below. If you want to edit either the default text or add your own translations in additional languages you can use the translation option of the app.
Default language
This is the default language for the public tools of the app.
Single vs Multilingual
Select either to have a single language or multiple languages.
Language detection
Select the desired detection method to load the appropriate language.
From browser preferences
Based on the visitor’s browser language we provide the public tools of the app on the same language
From IP address (geolocation)
By checking the ip address of the visitor we detect the country and we select the associated language.
From URL (domain.myshopify.com/en)
If the store is using any translation app or the native Shopify multilingual option we detect the language from the url parameters and we load the same language for the app.
From Store language (locale)
The detection method checks the current store locale property.
Extra languages
Here you can add the languages from the list above that you want the app to be presented.
