How to reset banner layout and style without losing texts (New Version)
Overview
The Banner page Reset control restores layout, style, and advanced defaults. It does not wipe your texts or logos.
Use Reset when experiments with position, colors, or Advanced options left the banner in a bad state, but you still want to keep:
- Banner status (enabled, disabled, or admins only)
- Content tab texts
- Logo uploads
Reset is not the same as Settings > Reset user consents, which asks every visitor for consent again.
Reset layout and style
- Open Shopify Admin > Apps > Pandectes GDPR Compliance.
- Go to Settings > Banner.
- Click Reset.
- Confirm the in-app message.
- Review Layout, Style, and Advanced, then save if the bar asks you to.
After a reset
- Re-apply mobile overrides if you need them. See How to use different banner layouts on mobile and desktop (New Version).

- Re-add Custom styling CSS if it was part of Advanced/Style defaults you cleared.
